Director and Administrative Staff

Stephanie Szymanski has a movie poster from To Kill a Mockingbird in her office.  The poster was signed by Mary Badham, who played Scout in the film.  She spoke as part of a program here discussing her experience playing Scout in the film and signed the poster.  The poster was then given to Stephanie as a token for her work in creating the program.

Teamwork

One current system-wide  committee is the Celebrating America Committee. I appreciate that this committee seeks to unify the efforts of the various branches to promote Celebrate America programs and events.  It is helpful to the public to be aware, and also excited about these programs in their area.

There is a Window Decorating Team currently chartered at Westminster Branch.

Human Resources

HR Staff are:
Muffie Smith - HR Director
Terri Simmons - HR Specialist
Kim Smithson - HR Specialist
Jaclyn Wilson - HR Secretary

I liked Muffie Smith's horse puppet the best for the props in the picture because puppets are awesome!

Through ESS, the most helpful area to me will be the Payroll area.  As a sub this area will help me track of the hours I work and the varying paychecks associated with each pay period.

Staff Association

My staff association representative is Brenda Proper at WEC.

    Outreach Department

Library programming is important because it increases the use of library facilities and resources by the public.  It also promotes life-long learning across target groups in the community.  Progarmming also serves to access statistics and information regarding trends in who uses library resources and needed programs.

    ILL

It is super easy to schedule a meeting online.
Then if you need to cancel the meeting it is again super easy to email or call the ILL dept to cancel it.
